I am not sure if this post should go under "Politics and Legal" or "Religion" here on Blogster but here it goes, you can decide how it strikes you.
I find it interesting that this morning's news has a feature relating to McCain's "pastor," John Hagee. First Obama, now McCain, interesting, don't you think?
At least Obama and McCain have a background from which they can draw there morals from, neither have declined their faith despite what an individual pastor might declare or have declared.
Rev. Jeremiah Wright has fallen into the trap that confronts many that take on the yoke of serving God and Satan never relinquishes the battle for souls, to claim one who is committed to proclaim the Truth is one of Satans greatest quests. Rev. Wright's ego has apparently taken over and perhaps clouded his vision but more importantly, his actions of recent days clouds the faith of a man that probably does have good intents in mind for the American people.
John Hagee on the other hand has always been demonstrotive. He has always been outspoken and forthcoming about his beliefs and how he sees world events. I understand that he wrote that the Roman Catholic Church worked with the Nazi's to exterminate the Jews. Well, history has shown this to be true in some countries. Artrocities in Croatia and Yugoslavia were known of and not condemned by the Vatican. If there would have been a public outcry by the Vatican, does one think that the Nazi's would have been able to do what they did?
I don't know if it is true that priests and officers of the Catholic Church in Croatia really did carry out murders and massacres as some have written. I also don't know if the Church really did help Nazi war criminals escape to South America but I think that history does show that the Vatican did nothing to stop the genocide against the Jews in Europe.
Sorry, I went to far into that diatribe. My point is not an anti-Catholic sentiment but it is this - could it be that a Democratic Presidential hopeful will stop at nothing to return to the White House? I am not saying that the Clinton's in person have anything to do with this tactic but they have diciples in the media that worship their ideals and those diciples might be the catalyst of these attacks. Well, Wright might have happend by himself but who is building his new multi-million dollar home for him?
Anyway, my question is this, will we hear of a Clinton pastor in the future? Did the Clinton's go to a church where the 10 Commandments might have been discussed in passing at some point? Doubt it.
It takes a gutsy individual to be President of the United States and we have had some really gutsy Presidents over the life of this country. I don't necessarily need a Christian President though I'd rather have a Christian than a Muslim. (I am partial there.) I'd much rather have a Christian nation elect the man or woman that they feel is the best for the job. A Christian nation that would hold the President and all elected officials accountable or face the consequences. That is our right as citizens of this America. It is up to you and me, not Barry, Hillary or John. Or their disciples.

Any reason why you would object to have a Muslim president?
I can't blame you. We are also to blame. I am a Muslim convert. There is beauty in Islam, justice and fairness, but just like in Christianity, the problem is not the faith, but those who profess to have it, but fail to live.
Tell me, from what did you convert?
hi,
We are to pray for our leaders first and then your needs and desires and to forgive others and yourself next, then God's coming kingdom and the testamony of Jesus. then the amen.

If you must see things in anagenda then try this one out:
1st - God. His kingdom will come and His will be done.
2nd - The needs of my family. This is the Daily Bread part but "bread" doesn't mean just food.
3rd - My needs.
4th - Repentance, forgiveness for and of. Then Prayer.
5th - Live life accordingly and in the Spirit.
Christianity is not an agenda, good works or about handing out trinkets. Faith is just that, faith. By Grace alone are we saved and because of that, we joyfully spread the Gospel, Jesus life, death and resurrection from the dead. His victory over the bounds of death. Hallelujah!
As I said, having a Christian president won't save us as a nation, having a Christian nation will direct the President and hold him accountable. I pray for my leaders and for leaders across the Globe. But they are mortals as are you and I.
